Houses for rent in Cameroon, and vehicles when you need one
Homes, apartments, shops and offices to let on a written agreement, alongside cars for hire by the day, the week or the month. Every one of our houses for rent in Cameroon is inspected before anybody views it.
What this service covers
Renting here usually runs on trust and a handshake, and that works right up until it does not. The deposit nobody wrote down, the repair nobody agreed to, the landlord who raises the rent four months in. Houses for rent in Cameroon are let properly far less often than they are let quickly.
Everything we let goes out on a written agreement, with the condition of the property recorded before you move in. The same applies to vehicles. If a thing can be argued about later, we put it on paper first. It is a dull habit and it has saved more tenancies than any amount of goodwill.
Houses and apartments
Family homes, flats and single rooms on monthly terms. These are the bulk of the houses for rent in Cameroon that move through this office.
Shops and offices
Commercial space let on terms that match how the business actually trades, including access, storage and parking.
Short stays
Furnished accommodation by the night or the week for visitors, contractors and families home for a season.
Cars with a driver
A vehicle and somebody who knows the roads, for airport runs, events, site visits and work across several towns.
Self drive hire
Insured vehicles hired by the day, week or month, with the condition recorded at collection and again at return.
Letting your property
If you are the landlord, we screen the tenant, draft the agreement and collect the rent so you are not chasing anyone.
How we carry out this service
Five stages, whether you are taking a flat for two years or a vehicle for two days. Houses for rent in Cameroon cause trouble at the agreement stage, so that is where we are careful.
-
1
Tell us what you need
Town, budget in FCFA, how many rooms or what kind of vehicle, and the date you need it from.
-
2
We shortlist
We pull what genuinely fits and check it ourselves. You are not sent to a property we have never stood inside.
-
3
Viewing
You see it with someone from our office. If you are out of the country, we record a walkthrough instead.
-
4
Agreement and inventory
Terms in writing and the condition photographed before money changes hands, which is how houses for rent in Cameroon should always be handed over.
-
5
Keys or collection
You move in or collect the vehicle, and you have a named person to call when something needs attention.
How the money works
Deposits are where most rental disputes begin. This is how payment runs on houses for rent in Cameroon and on every vehicle that leaves our hands.
Fees stated before you view
You know the rent, the deposit and our fee before you spend a morning looking at anything. Hidden charges are the reason houses for rent in Cameroon get a bad name, and nothing appears later with us.
Deposits recorded in writing
What was paid, what it covers and what would reduce it are written into the agreement rather than remembered differently by two people.
No viewing charges
Viewing is free. Anyone asking you for money to open a gate is not letting you a property, whoever they say they work for.
What you receive when you take houses for rent in Cameroon through us
A tenancy should leave you holding more than a key. The documents below are what turn a disagreement at the end of the lease into a two minute conversation instead of a year of bad feeling.
The same principle covers vehicles. Condition recorded at collection, condition recorded at return, nothing argued about in between. Taking houses for rent in Cameroon on a proper agreement costs you nothing extra and settles every question before it is asked.
- A written tenancy agreement, signed by both sides
- An inventory of the condition of the property, with photographs
- A clear statement of rent, deposit and any fee we charge
- The landlord's details and a named contact in our office
- For vehicles, confirmation of insurance and a recorded condition check
- A route for reporting repairs that does not depend on goodwill
Where we work
Kumba is the head office. We handle houses for rent in Cameroon and vehicle hire across the South West, the Littoral and the Centre.
Why tenants and landlords use us
Frisom Real Estate and Ventures Limited is registered under RC.KBA.2025B.058 and works from Common Wealth Avenue in Kumba, opposite Afriland First Bank. There is an office you can walk into when something goes wrong, which is more than most arrangements offer.
For tenants, it means the property was inspected, the terms are written down and somebody answers when the roof leaks. A good share of the complaints about houses for rent in Cameroon come down to nobody being responsible, and we make sure somebody is.
For landlords, it means screened tenants, rent that arrives and a building that is looked after. If you would rather not deal with any of it, our property management service takes the whole thing off your hands.
Services that usually come with this one
Letting is often the start of something else. These three sit closest to the houses for rent in Cameroon side of our work.
Property management
For landlords who would rather not handle tenants, rent or repairs themselves, especially from abroad.

View serviceQuestions tenants and hirers ask
What people want settled before they pay a deposit or drive away.
How much deposit will I be asked for?
It varies by landlord and by property, and we tell you the figure before you view rather than at the point you have decided you want the place. Whatever it is, it goes into the written agreement along with the conditions under which it is returned.
Do I pay a fee to view?
No. Viewing is free. Charging people to look at houses for rent in Cameroon is one of the habits that makes renting here unpleasant, and we have no part in it.
Who fixes things when something breaks?
The agreement says so, in writing, before you move in. Generally structural and major repairs sit with the landlord and small day to day items sit with the tenant, but the line is drawn in the document rather than argued about afterwards. Unclear repair duties cause more bad endings in houses for rent in Cameroon than late rent does.
I am arriving from abroad. Can you arrange everything before I land?
Yes, and it is common. We send walkthrough videos, agree terms, prepare the agreement and can have a vehicle waiting at the airport. Several of the houses for rent in Cameroon that we let each year are taken by people who only see them in person on moving day.
Can I hire a car without a driver?
You can, subject to a valid licence and the hire terms. Every vehicle goes out insured, with its condition recorded in photographs at collection and checked again at return, so there is nothing to dispute at the end.
I am a landlord. What do you charge to let my property?
A fee agreed in writing before we advertise, calculated against the rent achieved. We market houses for rent in Cameroon on what they will genuinely let for, not on what the owner hopes. We screen applicants, draft the agreement and can continue into full management afterwards if you would rather not collect rent yourself.
What if the tenant stops paying?
We follow it up immediately rather than letting arrears build quietly for months. Because the tenancy was written properly at the start, the position is clear and your options are stronger. This is the single biggest advantage of letting houses for rent in Cameroon through an agreement rather than an understanding.
